Here you can enjoy official music videos that I have directed and produced, and others that I have collaborated on and been featured in.

The DMZL Channel is a web-series, in its early stages.
The Channel will weave together different artistic mediums and creators' ideologies into episodes that explore philosophical, practical and tangible means for empowering our immediate communities, living in harmony with our environment and nourishing our bodies and souls. For now, the channel is costume, dance and play...the more structured episodes are in formation..

The DMZL Ditty Project:

Here you can enjoy jingles, melodious sensations, musical impressions, meditations and aural artifacts.

The Ditty Project is an experiment in which this evolving archive of songs and "song seeds" is available for sound makers to play with, combine with, elaborate on, score, etc...like song glyphs!

If you connect with these ditties and want to play around with them, be in touch and we can include it here!
Follow @theDeckofDMZL on instagram to join the language, find your glyph, and connect with me in person to receive one!

A GLYPH:

Classically defined as a graphic symbol with meaning (i.e. hieroglyph, petroglyph) DMZL glyphs are "drawn" from the deck, without preconceived notion as to their form and shape. Rather than denoting an inherent meaning, DMZL glyphs generate their own language and significance, when minds engage, decipher, describe and divine with them.

THE DECK OF DMZL

This is the first online incarnation of my glyph making practice. Since my first session in 2010 in Brooklyn, I have drawn hundreds of unique glyph cards for myself and for friends and strangers, often setting up shop in public places such as parks or street corners, with my chariot (see: CHARIOT) and stack of blank cards on which the drawings would occur.

The intention behind the Deck of DMZL is to collect images of the glyphs I create henceforth into one cyber archive, so that glyph-holders all over may visualize the evolution of a language and a community of "characters" that share a common experience.

The Deck of DMZL can help us step outside of ourselves and connect through abstraction, play and inquiry, as we recognize our similar qualities within our unique emanations. We are all glyphs!

Further Definitions:

Glyph Essences: the distillation of an interaction and impression that may be revealing of forms and fictions latent in the glyph-receiver's subconscious.
Also known as Psychic Glyphs, or Oracular Glyphs, as they are connected to our psyche's interpretation of what we perceive on the card.

Thought Token or Token of Exchange: a distillation of mental energy into linear impressions

Lucky Spore: Glyphs that lodge themselves into stagnant energy streams, dissolving and leaving nourishing residue that spawns positive thought and a sense of levity and clarity 😉

Glyph Currency: symbols of recognition and exchange.
